Do you ever feel like you relate more to chaos than to peace? Raising my hand, over here!
It's awkward to write your own bio so I stole a little from amazon. Proof that I can sound profesh if I must, although in real life, I mostly identify as a catawampus mom of three just trying to keep my head above water in between orchestra lessons, soccer and t-ball.
Here's my qualified bio if you're interested or need to use it:
Shauna Shanks is a wife, mother, and entrepreneur. She started Smallfolk, a health food café, out of her passion for health and fitness and unchecked desire to make fancy pop tarts. She graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, with a focus on world missions. Shauna and her husband, Micah, who is a police officer, have been married for more than a decade, and they are building a house out of shipping containers with their three boys on an Ohio farm.
In all of the big adventures we are currently pursuing, Chasing Smallness, is also a priority, as we've found ourselves on a journey toward minimalistic living. For my sanity, I also write on spirituality and motherhood; because all moms need a sounding-board!
Oh, and I wrote a book! You can learn all about A Fierce Love here ! My book releases June 27th, 2017.
So here's to you, your wild life (because no one has it easy), and may it be filled with the things that fill you.
I am currently stuck in Exodus. I can't get enough of reading about how God rescued a bunch of rebellious wanderers. I can relate. In fact, I have more experience with the train wreck than perfection. If that's you too, join me! I'm glad you've landed here.
